7i84 needs power connected to Vfield A also,
TB1 PIN SIGNAL FUNCTION

if I connect to pin3 (VieldA) +24V in addition to pin1 (VieldB) then the 7I76E does not start and there is smoke again at the power connector of the 7I84 !!!

Its likely one of the output driver chips was damaged by the reverse power connection

OK at inputs 0-15 is no function
so it is also clear why the display in the show hal configuration
is displayed inverted!
inputs 16-31 are working
the outputs I have not yet tested, but show in the show hal configuration all brown!
