Control of a vacuum pump was created by mgm
I got myself a vacuum pump which I now want to control with LCNC.
I have the following possibilities to connect it:
I have the following components:
- Mesa 7i76ED with 7i84D via RS422.
- Bit-file on the 7i76e is "7i76e_7i76x1_5abobpD".
- on P1 parallel expansion is connected a 7i75.
I need a 0-10V signal at the analog input (X10:3).
Can I do this with my Hardwear or do I need something additional?
TB4 of the 7i76ED is already occupied by the spindle!

Depending on whats connected to the 7I75, one possibility is to use
a "Mach 5 axis BOB" on P1, that would an additional analog output

At the 7i75 I have a PWM connected nothing else!
I still have a BOB ....
Do I have to change something in the bitfile?
Or would I have to replace the 7i75 with the BOB?

Is it possible to run the 7i76ED and a Mach 5 axis BOB connected to the parallel port at the same time? to get an additional connection with 0-10V from the BOB.

Yes, you can connect a Mach 5 Axis BOB to one of the 7I76E expansion ports
and use 7i76e_7i76x1_5abobD.bit firmware.
and use 7i76e_7i76x1_5abobD.bit firmware.

I assume that it also works with this bit file!?!
7i76e_7i76x1_5abobpD.bit
7i76e_7i76x1_5abobpD.bit

Yes, that one replaces some of the 5ABOBs step/dir channels with PWM

and I can continue to use my 7i75?
so the 7i75 to P1 AND BOB to P2 is that right?
or do I have to remove the BOB at P1 and the 7I75 again?
The 7i75 is for the one PWM output!
But if you say that it replaces some Step/Dir then I can certainly connect a PWM to the Step/DIR!

You could use a PWM output from the BOB instead
The 7i76e_7i76x1_5abobpD.bit configuration has only GPIO on P2
(take a look at the .pin files for pinout information)

Yes, you can run any combination of hardware, so you can run any number of parallel ports alongside any combination of Mesa cards. Is it possible to run the 7i76ED and a Mach 5 axis BOB connected to the parallel port at the same time? to get an additional connection with 0-10V from the BOB.
