Mesa 7I96S + 7I85S Bitfile

First of all, that sounds even better than what I wanted, and secondly, I don't quite understand the thing about the pins. I also have old Heidenhein glass scales that I believe are the difference and not ttl. is it also possible to mix?

the glass scales have 8 pins, 2 of which are for 5v and gnd.

Yes, the 7I85S can interface to 4 encoders, individually selectable
as TTL or differential.

Thanks for all the information, I'm a lot smarter now. To be honest, before I buy something, I wanted to see if the hardware would do everything I wanted, and it does. Thanks for your help.

my board arrived and i just wanted to flash it but it keeps saying "checking file...invalid bitfile header!". I'm a little clueless now

Yes, that's the correct firmware file.

It's likely you need to update your copy of mesaflash:

So sign me up here again, it worked now. but had problems accessing websites where youtube worked. I think I have rights. either way I was able to download and install the github. I've already flashed and read out the mesa. everything is on now. Thanks again for all the help I think I'll have more questions in the future.

so now i have another problem in the pncconfig there is not the right bit/bin file. However, when I try to install the mesa configuration tool, the error 404 not found comes directly with the first console command. And unfortunately I can't build a Hal completely myself.
