those are the same "generation" of mpa drives im using , im almost ready for a mesa board so i might look into other combos i can use to run the 3 analog drivesrather than wait for the 7i97, i would like an ethernet board. glad to see someone else had success with a similar setup.

With this card you can also test those MPA drivers, the difference is that it receives pulses from STEP, Dir and converts them into +- 10 volts. github.com/simonjoh/YAPSCO-10V

PCW can the 7i97t be connected to something like a 7i70 ? i just realized how much i/o im going to have , i could put a 7i70 in my front panel to handle all my physical buttons if thats the case.

Yes, you can connect any sserial card to the 7I97/7I97T's

If you do not need all 48 inputs, and in case you might need outputs, go for Mesa 7i84, it has 32 inputs and 16 outputs.
That is what i used for my Mazak as it has 2 signal lights on the existing panel. That reminds me, pretty sure i have not wired those signal lights, need to change to LED.

Thats probably a good idea , I only need about 16 inputs , would be nice to have some outputs in that area I will have to see what stock looks like when the 7i97t are avilable , I can always upgrade down the road I suppose
