A 7I76 makes sense if you need a lot of I/O
(32 inputs and 16 outputs)
If not (and you have a use for the 7I92)
a 7I96S might be a better choice

Hello,I am in a similar situation, when flashing 7i92T. I flashed 7i92T with firmware for 7i92.I have both cards, and I didn't pay attention to which FPGA I flashed. When I set jumpers as you say: (W5 and W6) to the UP,UP positions and cycle the power, the INIT led doesn't blinks (just the CR7 and CR8 LEDs lights).Does this mean that the card cannot be saved?Should it be sent back to MESA for repair? Thanks.

Yes, it probably needs to be sent back to be reflashed via JTAG
Note that you should update Mesaflash also so this cannot happen again
(recent mesaflash versions will not let you do this)
