Mesa CT and 7i97T was created by B.Reilly01
Are there any updates necessary to the Mesa CT now that the 7i97T is out there? Can I configure as a 7i97 and get away with it?
Thank you,

A configuration created for a 7I97 will work on a 7I97T
(using LinuxCNC 2.9.1 or >)
but you cannot change firmware with the utility yet (AFAIK)

Forgive me, my card has been stuck in customs here for the past two weeks, so trying to learn what I can for when it arrives.
What does your above reply mean to owners of the cards. Its confusing as some people seem to flash their cards before use and some people don't. I do t know why you would need to and why you wouldn't, or how you would if the software does not work

You do not need to change the firmware unless you are using a
daughtercard on the parallel expansion port. In that case, you
would need firmware that supports that parallel daughtercard.

You would flash the proper firmware: 7i97t_7i76d.bin
with mesaflash. then run the mesact configuration
utility and select 7I97 and 7I76 daughtercard.
(but don't attempt to change the firmware)

When I attempt to flash the firmware I get:
"Unsupported ethernet device 7I97T at 10.10.10.10"
"No 7I97T board found"
makes me believe my mesaflash is out of date, but it says it's the most current version 3.4.6-1

3.4.6 is too old to support the 7I97T.
( I think the current version is 3.5.3)
To get the latest, go to
github.com/LinuxCNC/mesaflash
And scroll down to the bottom of the page for build instructions

Hi PCW,
Might be a minor issue (or not an issue at all)
Page 14
"ANALOG SERVO DRIVE INTERFACE The 7I97T provides six channels of +-10V analog servo interface on connector TB5."
Should that instead say TB3?

Yes, the analog out connector is TB3 (page 10)
I'll fix the manual when I get a chance
