I seem to have a problem where my configuration tries to assign the 7i97 pins to the daughterboard (7i76) for analog output.

The spindle pins would be:
hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.3.spindir
hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.3.spinena
hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.3.spinout
and spindle parameters:
hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.3.spindir-invert
hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.3.spinena-invert
hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.3.spinout-maxlim
hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.3.spinout-minlim
hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.3.spinout-scalemax
You can list all the hardware pins/parameters with:
halcmd show all hm2
(when LinuxCNC is running)

In my HAL, Joint 0 analog appears to be assigned to the 7i76, as shown below. My understanding is that the 7i76 doesn't have analog output for joint 0. Regardless, my analog signal wires are in proximity to the 7i97T, not the 7i76. This was configured on the 7i97 tab of MesaCT.# Joint 0 Analog setup
setp hm2_[MESA](BOARD).0.7i76.0.3.analogout0-scalemax [JOINT_0](ANALOG_SCALE_MAX)
setp hm2_[MESA](BOARD).0.7i76.0.3.analogout0-minlim [JOINT_0](ANALOG_MIN_LIMIT)
setp hm2_[MESA](BOARD).0.7i76.0.3.analogout0-maxlim [JOINT_0](ANALOG_MAX_LIMIT)

Ultimately, I want a configuration that does all of the following:
(See attached table)
Right now I just want a config that launches LinuxCNC and has analog outputs for atleast 1 joint on the 7i97T. I'm working towards the above config, learning HAL along the way. Last time I did this I had PNCCONF for a 5i25/7i77.
I think there's an error in MesaCT that assigns the joints only to a daughterboard for the 7i97.

I suspect the easiest way to do this currently would be to create a 7I97 configuration and a 7I76 configuration
and merge them

I don't have a 7i97T to test with yet... and I also just realized there is an bug with a 7i97 configuration created with the Mesa CT.

Thanks JT for all your work, I'll wait for an update for the 7i97 bugs and try again. I would say my 7i97T can be your guinea pig, but I'm not very knowledgeable on this stuff and I may be the biggest holdback to getting good info.

I have a 7i97T arriving today to test with. I "think" Mesa CT is ready to create a configuration for a 7i97T.

The Mesa CT will build a configuration for a 7i97T now, I don't have any hardware connected to it so I can't test that. Let me know if everything works now.
