You can buy machines with LinuxCNC pre-installed from:
Tormach: www.tormach.com/product_pcnc_770.html
Smithy: www.smithy.com/cnc/1240-mill
Sieg do desktop mills pre-converted: www.arceurotrade.co.uk/Catalogue/Machine...g-KX3-Hobby-CNC-Mill
But if you compare that to the unconverted version: www.arceurotrade.co.uk/Catalogue/Machine.../Model-X3-Small-Mill you can see why many people choose to convert their own.
The Sherline 3-axis CNC is reasonably inexpensive in this company: www.sherlinedirect.com/index.cfm?fuseact...385&CFTOKEN=24842776 and the LiveCD comes with a suitable configuration to plug-and-play.
I suspect that people who buy a pre-built machine go to the manufacturer for support, rather than to the software forum, which might explain why we don't see them.
I suspect most people that use linuxcnc, either retrofit used machines or make their own.
