Hi Dale,
I am in the midst of a conversion of almost the same machine. I have schematics, manuals, code, trials and tribulations on my web site here:
sites.google.com/site/yeltrow/shizuoka-a...-linuxcnc-conversion
I am currently in the process of adding discrete I/O to my Shizuoka AN-S via a Wago 750-842 ethernet module and ModTCP (Modbus over IP). My VFD on serial modbus is a honeybadger--Power On/Off whenever and it always restores communications. I have yet to find a way to reinitialize ModTCP connections to the Wago I/O without restarting EMC.
