doh, yeah, i got 2 strips, which were a little over the $100 mark together.
if you needed 300mm, AMS sells 40 micron precision samples for 10 bucks or so. i told the bogen guy that he needs to get this stuff into mouser or digikey, just to make things easier for people.

Do you have a link for that AMS product? the longest piece i need is 200mm and another x2 100mm for the other 2 axis.

i believe these are bogen, chopped up. 40 micron precision as i said.
i should note, that excluding external factors like temperature, these scales readers claim to repeat to 488nm, so you could map out the scale to achieve higher absolute precision than 40 microns.
