I found another thing, I'm in MDI exeuting a move, click on manual control, it lags for 5 seconds, then I click keyboard arrow and it hangs for about 30 seconds and shows error
Joint jog requested for undefined joint number=-1 (min=0,max=1)
dmesg shows
[ 303.142838] logitech-hidpp-device 0003:046D:1028.0004: HID++ 1.0 device connected.
[ 409.386115] NMI: PCI system error (SERR) for reason b1 on CPU 0.
[ 409.386118] Dazed and confused, but trying to continue
[ 646.994111] perf: interrupt took too long (2523 > 2500), lowering kernel.perf_event_max_sample_rate to 79250

I did apt-get update & upgrade I'm now on linuxnc 2.8.2 and
radom@labor:~$ uname -a
Linux labor 4.19.0-17-rt-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT RT Debian 4.19.194-2 (2021-06-21) x86_64 GNU/Linux
but it still hangs
any new suggestions? I think I will go back to 2.7.14 Debian 7 Wheezy

You could try the RTAI kernel and linuxcnc version.
See the "getting LinuxCNC" section of the docs.
i am not sure what the problem is. possibly a graphics driver thing

Hello, I also have a Padovani/Dormac here, which I would like to retrofit.
Unfortunately, I am missing the wiring diagram of the electrical system.
I would like to test the Siemens servo drivers.
For this I would have to understand the original enable circuit.
Which was realized via the relays.
A circuit diagram would be very helpful
Your machine is much larger, but the control cabinet looks quite similar.
Would you have the schematic?
I think that would be a great help to me

I don't have electric diagram for my lathe, and I don't remember how I connected the relays
you can check servomotors by manually connecting necessary terminals at the front simodrive panel
look into manual e.g. assets.euautomation.com/uploads/parts/da...6sn11231aa000da1.pdf
