Does the fusion 360 still work on Debian? If so has it been tried in Bookworm?
I am considering this for now so when Windows 10 is EOL I can still use Fusion 360
at work.
at least until I can totally move away from it

Fusion 360 is widows or Mac, no Linux.
It has good support for Linucnc via a specific post out of the box.
I have given up Windows totally.
There is some talk of being able to use it with WINE.
I gave up with Fusion and use Onshape for cad as its browser based. There is limited free cam via Kiri.moto and a native cam version is following.
Just design in onshepe and do your cam at work A mate pays for F360 just to do CAM for his onshepe.

Linux = everything is possible, especially since Valve released the Steam Deck and decided to sell it with Linux out of the box, giving the middle finger to his ex colleagues/bosses.
github.com/cryinkfly/Autodesk-Fusion-360-for-Linux
And "snap" packages that i utterly hate as they can install whatever someone showed into it, but still

rodw - Interesting he uses Onshape and pays for F360.
Tommylight- I will have to give the snap install at least a shot and see what it's like.
From the amount of garbage that has gone on the last few years with the whole Pay to Play,
You Will Own Nothing and Be Happy, Green New Steal, and mainstream back door third party/Government spying
on anyone with a computer connection. I am about to the point of going full Luddite.

Until i registered on this forum, google had no freaking idea about me, nothing, nada, zilch, i checked!
It takes a lot of effort, a lot, to stay hidden in plain sight, having 3 computer shops with over 50 PC's on 24h a day for over 5 years, and still remain invisible.
I was online, all the time, sometimes two days without sleep (probably searching for my brain, did not find it), was doing all kinds of shi... research A poor "Russian hacker" comes to mind, attacking me ended badly for him... pssst

I have plenty of stories, like the first ZX Spectrum i bought in Hungary, customs asked me "what is that" going back into my country, i replied "washing machine programmer, see all plastic buttons so water" and he just nodded and let me pass! Tried the same after about 6 months, did not go smoothly, they learned what those are, had to pay something like 300 Deutche Marks.

The thing about stories or memories, the f@king war here taught me to make as much good memories as possible, i needed those plenty times during my life.
Memories are the only thing no one can take away from you!!!

A fork of FreeCAD, with many improvements, they say.
Will report back after i give it a run whenever i might need designing and 3D printing something.
To all, Feel free to also report back if you do try it, please.

This will be my contribution on CAM software:

SimplexCAM can be used free of charge by everyone on Saturday and Sunday. This allows people to use the software free of charge for non-commercial purposes. Make sure you don't have an activation code in the license dialog. See menu: File -> License -> Remove any activation code. It is possible to activate this free license only via the online license server. Thus, the PC on which SimplexCAM is running needs an internet connection. However, the adaptive roughing strategy (trochoidal roughing) is deactivated.

ECam is Free On Weekend
ECam is free to use on Saturday and Sunday for everyone.
This allows free usage of the software to people for non-commercial purposes.
