wow. I suffered the wrath of the blocked IP...

first time

I suspect (know) it was of my own making clicking on the login link and not waiting long enough for the website to respond before clicking again / the page taking too long to load.

the login details are automatically filled in so I know they were not wrong....

good to know it just blocks you for 1 day

.... to be fair I just turned off my WiFi and used the phone 4g... but I'm glad I'm back on the unbanned list...

Just got hit by this.
Trying to read a bunch of post on iOS with safari and it keeps trying for auto fill the login in the collapsed mobile theme hamburger.
I was dismissing safaris pop up asking to faceId for the password

Annoying as I do have a static ip form my isp so now my current reasearch is scuppered for a day

I had the same issue with Safari on macOS, my solution (still working) was to pay Apple 1.49 AUD per month for iCloud+ and use the private relay. It works for my iPhone as well.

My home IP has been blocked for at least a week now. It is very irritating. I know it was not caused by me since I haven't had any login issues. Is there anything I can do at all besides be annoyed with something out of my control?

I think it was casued during the big foum slow down last weekend.
I left it for 24 hours and waited until I was at work...

Try restarting the router. Maybe it will get a new IP address.
