At the bottom of the Axis window there are:

ESTOP; no tool

I've not been able to change these thus far. The 'execute current file' button is inactive.

My feeling is there is something simple that is not getting done.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Michael

Press F1 then F2, or click the E-stop button top left, and then the power button next to it.

stepconfig bypasses any switches or limits etc , for setting up your machine , which is why your able to operate in stepconfig and not from within emc working enviroment .

depending on your machine configuration you either have the estop , working the opposite sense , so therefore invert the estop input may help .
or if no switches are involved Andy''s solution will work , options are suspended if greyed out etc
