Error PARPORT: Linux parport0 not support mode4 was created by M2sinc
Hello
I getting a massage when I stsrta AMC2
Error
PARPORT:Linus parport parport0 does not support mode 4
PARPORT: countinuing anyway
If I press X to countinue then I press the F1 to take emergency switch off, then I press F2 to run machine on. then motor turn to limit set in MIN_FERROR ?? and stop, press agin F2 and then motor turn again to that limit and stop at that limit. it goes randomly back and forth each time you press OFF then stop.
What could be the problem ?
Also When I test with ppmcdiags DAC to + voltage it run CCW if I press -Volts then it goes CW. I even tried making both input scale nagative and tried both scale setting at Positive, also I tried making output scale to magative.
Any suggestion
Thanks

sounds as if your parrell port in the bios is not correct , check that it it is in epp mode only , not dual mode

Thanks for suggestion
It was EPP mode, but for just to try , I tried all 4 modes- but same error. Now I setup again to EPP Mode.
Does this error make problem,
Thanks
