I downloaded ubuntu 10.04 from this site for emc2, I installed and reboot pc open with rtai mode. and I got this error. my english not so good. sorry.

It appears to be a graphics driver problem.

If you try the tkemc sample configuration does that work? (that does not require OpenGL)
configs->sim->tkemc

You will also tend to get this problem if trying to use EMC2 via a remote X-session on SSH, but I think you would have mentioned it if that was what you were doing.
