Not sure if this is the right area, but I have been looking at the MINI Graphical Interface info and can't seem to find the download or installation info.

I installed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx and EMC2 using a live cd download. The startup screen idicates "Linux 2.6.32" version, so it may be I have an old version of EMC2. If that is the case can I update the EMC2 and I will probably need some direction on how to do it. I have some knowledge, but limited in the Linux system.

Hi

Ubuntu 10.04 uses the linux 2.6.32-122-rtai kernel, you can't upgrade that.
EMC (linuxcnc) version 2.4.3 is the default from Live CD, currently upgradeable to 2.4.7

Mini is called tkmini

Change your DISPLAY = axis in your .ini file to DISPLAY = mini and start emc, to use it.

on running pncconf or stepconf , Mini can be selected as the GUI to use duing configuration
or alternatively in your configuration INI file
