I know of one guy that cuts bamboo for fly rods with a dual blade saw with 2 or 3 axes...

I would think a panel saw would have at least 2 axis, x and y?
What are the digital outputs?
Can you explain more about the saw?
At any rate it seems Linuxcnc would work fine.

Hi Rick G
There are two axis, but only one is really controlled. The other is the movement of the saw blade which is just a digital on/off.
The operation is basically this:
Set the X axis.
Clamp the panel
Run the saw blade to the end of the Y axis and return.
Unclamp the panel
Reset the X axis if required.
Continue as required.

O.K. that sounds simple enough, similar to setting the length of cut on a chopsaw.
I would think just start with a mill configuration.
Any pictures?
