If your just wanting the full simulator it might, otherwise you will need the real time kernel to run LinuxCNC.

Yup, sim doesn't need RT.

I don't want to rain on your parade but I do want to point out that LinuxCNC is mostly GPL by and large. So there really isn't any advantage to getting LinuxCNC to run on BSD. I would be remiss if I didn't point out that the original NIST code is public domain though. There some licensing advantages might be had, at a loss of about 10 or so years of development.
I think you might stand a better chance of porting the original code anyways. It worked for Dan Mauch.

LinuxCNCer's
i think what i'm getting here is
a set of mass produced Ubuntu disks is
equal to my PC-BSD set in that neither
of these OS's have been worked on
internally to work better with LinuxCNC.
is that correct?
Have A Nice Day!

I don't think that is correct at all. Ubuntu is Linux based, BSD isn't.

LinuxCNCer's
regarding BSD and Linux.
'BSD operating systems can run much native software of several other operating systems on the same architecture, using a binary compatibility layer. Much simpler and faster than emulation, this allows, for instance, applications intended for Linux to be run at effectively full speed.'
i'm going to go ahead and complile EMC2 for simulation mode
from within PC-BSD and see what it does.

LinuxCNC may be one of the applications why they couldn't say all, as opposed to much. Give it a shot on BSD to find out though.
Binary compatibility usually means the executable file format, like elf
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executable_and_Linkable_Format
So what your statement likely means is BSD can run the executable file from Linux directly, no compiling needed. Most BSDs use elf anyways. Getting the code to build locally is likely your best chance at success I'd imagine. But even if you get it to build it still might not run. make -k baby yeah! keep going!
