Hi guys,
I have a question regarding the mpg.
I really liked this:
www.cnc4pc.com/Store/osc/product_info.ph...h=40&products_id=254
The question I have is this.
as everyone knows, LOL
I have a kit 5i25, 7i77 and 7i64
but I have only one PCI slot, which is hosted the 5i25.
mpg as I can connect to my machine? I need another board?
Thanks.

Well looks like that runs on a parallel port so if the PC has a parallel port it should be usable.
The other option is to use the second 5I25 port as GPIO (This needs a header/DB25 adapter cable).
This would require setting up a base thread to read the MPG dial
Yet another option would be to use 7I77 I/O pins and a spare 7I77 encoder to interface to a generic MPG dial and switches

Some notes I wrote down back in 2006

You will need to be a bit familiar with HAL to make use of my notes - going through the tutorials in the manual is one way to learn.

You have an amazing web ... great work congratulations. I will study to see if I can do this. but my knowledge of HAL level is very low. but I'm studying.
thanks.
Peter:

7I80DB Ethernet Anything I/O card
Thanks.
