How to define a conical tool in PyCam? was created by Nenad
Hi,
Does anybody know how to define a new tool in PyCam that is not similar to the ones offered in the default selection?
This is the kind of tool that I am using:
sell.lulusoso.com/selling-leads/501490/cnc-router-bits.html
The tip is very thin so it can be defined as 0.1mm cylinder or sphere but that works only for very shallow cuts. For deep cuts the tool becomes thicker (up to 1mm) and cuts more than I want. So basically there is a range 0.1mm - 1 mm. My best solution is to define it as a 1mm cylinder and then do a 90% overlap in suface strategy.
Is there a better way?

these are not router bits meant for general cutting , they are meant for engraving use .
