Hi
Can any one tell me how to edit the tool table in linuxcnc so that it does not add tool length offsets to the gcode generated by sheetcam.
Cheers

Change the length to 0? Sheetcam is usually used with a plasma, what are you doing?

I am using a gantry syle router. I have tried editing the tool table but it seems to revert back to a default.

How are you editing the tool file?

Are you touching off your tool prior to cutting?

No I'm not touching off.

Can I edit the tooltable through axis?

tool.tbl can be edited using any text editor , are you editing the correct one ?
the tool.tbl file in use is the one in the configuration you are starting linuxcnc in ... i.e ~/linuxcnc/configs/myconfiguration/

How are you setting the tool length if your not touching off?

Can you describe in some detail what your doing and what you want to happen?
