Dear Members,
I have to control 2 Servo Motors, 1 Stepper Motor and 1 Spindle Motor. Can I control all these using LinuxCNC Software and PCI5i20. Or I have to use two PCI5i20 Cards, one for servos and other for stepper and spindle motor.
1. Two Panasonic Servo Motor= MHMD082P1V and Driver MCDDT3520
2. Single Stepper Motor 34HSX-312 and Driver RSSM2
3. Single Spindle Motor (Brush-less DC Motor)
Please guide.
Regards

You should be able to do it with a single 5i20. (or possibly with other cards).
The servo drives have the option of using step/dir input, if you wanted to keep things very simple.
However the SVST4_8 firmware for the 5i20 supports 4 encodes, 4 PWMs and 8 step-generators so will do what you want quite readily.
