Hi All
After some priceless help from CNCbasher (thank you!!) last year, I have now managed to get the table a little more completed.
Currently I have an X and Y axis
LinuxCNC 2.5.0 installed on a PC and Axis running.
I can jog the steppers to all corners of the table.
My Hal and ini files are here should you need them
http:\\www.windwhistle.co.uk/cnc/Marvin.ini
http:\\www.windwhistle.co.uk/cnc/Marvin.hal
My problem is an error in axis when I run the sample chunk of Gcode (axis.ngc??). It gets to the exact same place each time then errors
The issue is partly I don't understand the message and partly I don't know where to go and what to look for.
If anyone could point me the right direction and perhaps give me a clue, I'm sure I'll get there.
This is the error as it appears on the screen "Joint 1 following error X"

Any help greatly received
Danny

You might look here...
wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?Following_Error
You may need to adjust your base period / velocity
Try reducing your max velocity in your set up also check your max acceleration and step gen acceleration, the step gen acceleration may need to be higher.
