I hope this is the correct catagory for this question/request. Has there been any consideration to adjusting the way single block works? With the.gui, it is easy enuff to go back and forth between icons, if you have a panel with switches and buttons, using the step function is clunky. First you have to put the.control in feedhold, then hit the.siingke block switch. From there every.press of cycle start wi.execute a block. Problem being, to get out of single block, you have to set feed hold again, turn.off a switch, then hit cycle start for auto . On most if not all comercial.controls, one the single bock.switch is set,it is in single block, untill the.switch is off, which puts it back in auto. Single step is a mode, much like manual or mdi. Is there any plans to update linuxcnc to work in single block with out constanly having to go in and out of feed hold? What are the chances of M30 being fixed so the program.doesnt have to.be rewound/ reset with an additional button? Just curious. Ive.been.reading the 2.6 documentation, nice job on it being so.thourough!! Thanks.

I would suggest you add these to the feature request or bug tracker:
sourceforge.net/p/emc/feature-requests/?source=navbar
and asking on the maillist.
block delete is annoying too as it can't be changed after the program starts.
