how to set servo pulse ? was created by skvallab
My drive is set for 5000 pulses for 360'.
How do it set it in Linux CNC?
And where I need to enter my gear ratio of my servo gear box.

Hi,
All your questions seem to revolve around this section of the manuals
www.linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/config/ini_config.html
If you have a servo controller that takes step pulses, ( as it appears from other Q's, but you haven't said here ) linuxcnc knows where it is from the scale figure which gives the number of pulses per machine unit
You need to work out what linear distance is moved by the axis in one rotation of the motor, including the effect of gearing. eg 10mm
Divide the number of pulses that took by the distance eg 5000 pulses to travel 10mm, so 500 pulses per 1mm therefore SCALE = 500
(Just be careful you do not get confused between servos controlled by other means and step controlled ones)
regards
