Hi everybody,
i am pogramming a small cad software at the moment. one of the last things to implement is tool to extract truetype font outlines. Fonts are made of striaight lines and quad bezier elements that are basicly supported by linuxCNC through G5.1.

The attached file contain the g-code output of a truetype outline form the cad pragram. The font is displayed without any fails in LinuxCNC but if i try to start running the gcode, LinuxCNC report, that x/y jounts would be exceed.
Can somebody verify if it is a bug i found.

And if so, can somebody explain how to report a bug. i tried to login in source forge, but don't know how to add bugs to the list??? i am a pogrammer and can maybe fix this issue in LinuxCNC. but i need somebody that help me to get on the right way.

Please help

Hi

I had to alter a few things to get the file to load, but I too got errors with X and Y exceeding limits, when running it in the axis_mm sim.

I changed the min and max limits to ridiculously high figures that could not possibly be exceeded and got the same error.

Have no idea what is happening, but it appears repeatable.

I would subscribe to the developers list
lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-developers

and post the problem there with this file which will run on the sim

regards
