Mesa 5I25 with standard BOB

Hello,

I am currently running a breakout board from longs motors, it runs off the standard parallel port on the motherboard. I have been looking at upgraded to the 5i25 and 7i76. I am wondering if I can use my existing break out board with the 5i25 without having to have a mesa breakout board.

Yes you can.

The first thing to do is look at the existing 5i25 pinouts and see if one matches your BOB
the existing pinouts are all listed in the .pin files in the 5i25.zip support image from mesa
