Linuxcnc error

Made the move to the Debian wheezy version after I had mega problems trying to re-installl ubuntu 10.4 version. Got my machine all set up and running as it should then linuxcnc would close and throw this error message on the screen. I made a copy of the whole file but this bit seems to be the pertinant part ( but what do know?)

/usr/bin/linuxcnc: line 843: 8790 Segmentation fault $EMCDISPLAY -ini "$INIFILE" $EMCDISPLAYARGS $EXTRA_ARGS

Doesnt do it all the time it might run for days with no problem then it starts throwing errors like a 2 yr old throwing tantrums.

Any body got a clue.
