Please confirm the files I need

Hi folks,

Could someone please let me know all the files I will need to copy off of a dying HD before I shut it down for the last time.

I have the:

Custom Hal
Router.Hal (my machine is a router)
Router.ini
Linuxcnc .var
rs274ngc.var
tool.tbl
custom_postgui.hal
All my nc files

Anything else I might need to put on the new HD?

It depends on your particular config. Are you using custom components? I often forget them.

I would rather copy the full linuxcnc-dev folder (if you have a run in place development version), or your config folder for a standard installation.

Or even better, if you are going to replace the HDD, place the new one, install your OS, boot from it also with the older one connected, copy the files as you find they are needed.
