LinuxCNC 2.7.0 Upgrade Problems was created by bosmach
I have just upgraded to 2.7.0 from 2.6.9 and now my project will not start up. It crashes when it tries to load and connect to the Spindle VFD that I do not have. I have been back through the config wizard but I do not have the option of not selecting one of the 2 listed VFD's for the spindles. I do not the box enabled but it still loads into the hal file. Please HELP!!!!!

Are you saying your existing configuration did not work?
(there should be no need to regenerate the configuration files withthe wizard)
Can you post both your original HAL/INI files and the exact error message here?

Did you use PNCConf to configure your install? I ran into the same problem earlier tonight with a timeout error on a serial VFD which I did not specify any checkboxes for. Solution for me was to put a # in front of all lines in postgui.hal file and it started without issue, but if you run PNCConf again it will re-create that file and crash out o startup.
