Configuring a Rambo USB(-to-serial) controller? was created by cnccircuits
Hi,
I have a 3d printer with a USB arduino rambo controller board. I was wondering if EMC could stream gcode to this controller? I am not attempting to 3d print using EMC, instead I wish to remove the extruder and attach a laser diode for wood burning. Is this possible???
Thanks

Linuxcnc does not support USB , sorry .
you can run a laser off the rambo board , and use the heated bed output for example to control the pwm of the laser
with a pwm input laser of course .
their are otherways as well ,
to use Linuxcnc , would mean a change of controller or at least the interface
the other option is to use Machinekit , with a beagleboard and cramps interface , for example
