I installed Joints_Axis9 on a virtual machine to try to test some things out (Mint 17 is the OS). However when I try to run update_ini script on one of my configs all I get is a command not found?
todd@todd-VirtualBox ~/linuxcnc/configs/Dig5 $ ls
custom.hal              Dig5.hal      linuxcnc.var.bak      README
custompanel_backup.xml  Dig5.ini      parport.2.pin-02-out  tool.tbl
custompanel.xml         Dig5.ini.bak  parport.2.pin-03-out  update_ini
custom_postgui.hal      linuxcnc.var  postgui_backup.hal
todd@todd-VirtualBox ~/linuxcnc/configs/Dig5 $ update_ini Dig5.ini
update_ini: command not found

Any ideas why the script won't work?

How did you get it? If you compiled, did you run the rip-environment script?

I installed it using some of the instructions in one of the other Linuxcnc Mint topics here.

I was able to make it work now, I manually copied the update_ini script file into usr\bin\, and then it worked.

I wasn't running it as a rip. I suspect if I had been it probably would have just worked.
