Happy New Year to All.
Have been racking my brains on the next steps. Here goes.
My setup is for a mini lathe with X&Z ballscrews and Steppers.
The PC is a ASrock J1900B with very good latency. Debian Wheezy with the latest update (2.7.3). I also have the XHC-HB04 wireless pendant.
1. With Step conF wizard built a working config. Able to jog both axis.
2.Saved a working copy of the xhc-hb04 config from sims folder to my config. The 18 button (layout 2) file works beautifully.(Thanks to the developers).
3. Saved a copy of gmoccapy GUI in my configs. Want to use this UI for now .
My biggest dilemma is putting all the pieces together to make a working CNC . Each of the above work the way they should independantly.
Which .INI would be the main one and what ones do I copy/paste/ modify. What files do I move around in My configs folder.
Thanks to All .

It sounds like everything works. What is missing?

Hi Andy,
That's correct. They all work individually. But if I were to open up Gmoccapy in my config, I don't find the MPG to try for example. Or if i open the HB04 config, the GUI is the simpler one, not Gmoccapy. How do I integrate all together ?
Or its something simpler staring me in the face and I don't see it?
Thanks for the quick response.

Have you seen this?
What you need to do is edit your configuration files to use the features you are looking for.
If you have a HB04 configuration that works edit it to use gmoccapy.
This assumes you have a HB04 configuration that is set up for your machine, proper step and direction, velocity etc.
If not then you will need to edit the final configuration files with a combination of the settings for your machine (created by Stepconf), the HB04 settings, and finally using gmoccapy.
So time to start researching more about your .ini and .hal files

wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?GmoccapyThe most important part is to tell linuxcnc to use gmoccapy, editing the [DISPLAY] section.
[DISPLAY]
DISPLAY = gmoccapy

Whew. A push in the right direction is all that was needed.
Got it going. Now to apply the servo values and fine tune. This stuff is fun.
Thanks for the links.
Thanks Rick
