Network?

This is driving me nuts. Nothing here is straight forward to me. I have Linuxcnc installed but am not sure of what I am seeing at all.

I am trying to join my wired network to update. I cant even figure out how to get to the internet? Is that a Linux or Linuxcnc question and is Debian a factor? The terms are confusing to say the least.

Never mind I did get it to connect but I didnt do anything. I did reset my router but it was working fine with my other PC's. Anyway updates are happening now.
