AASD AC Servo controller---newbie question was created by orcaz1
Hi! Am I right in assuming that I need to set this motor servo up correctly before I even think about connecting it to a 7i76 daughter board? i.e. set it to speed and analog input etc?

Do you have a link to the documentation? It is quite possible that nobody has ever heard of the drive in question.
I am confused by the mention of 7i76 and analog input in the same sentence.

for servo systems you need the 7i77 daughtercard ,
the servo drives in question are either step/direction or RS485 Serial as well as analog
so quite a few options .
as they have encoder outputs from the drives , the 7i77 card probably would be better suited .
as the 7i76 only has one encoder input .
