Well I thought I was getting closer.
I am getting this now on startup
It all started as I was trying to change some inputs on a few things in the ppmc_io.hal
so I killed that configuration and loaded a new configuration, but am still getting the same error.
Any tips on what I screwed up this time? I am not sure where to go from here as I can not even get it to load with a fresh configuration.

Try a reboot, in case the module was not properly unloaded previously
Please attach your hal and ini file, only you currently know what is in them.
After getting this error, do dmesg > dmesg.txt in a terminal and attach that dmesg.txt file too

It is failing to find the PPMC board.
Is the parport address right? Is EPP enabled?

Since I dumped the entire config when I got pissed I lost the address setup. The next morning when I woke up I it dawned on me that I never did that. I was pretty pissed at myself as I spent that much time over that.
