Webcam connections

is there a current method to connect a webcam to Linuxcnc Wheezy 2.7.3.
I have tried a lot of the older methods but nothing seems to work.
has anyone done this??

by older method you mean camview emc ?
i'm currently looking at it ,

someone else used mplayer? and a hack to add a cross hair but I can't find it right now

Sorry for the delay in getting back...was away.
Cncbasher.....yep , tried to download camview, but all the links were dead, there was a method of loading camview and then modding camview emc with the config.
but no luck.
Cmorley....I did load mplayer, (saw that article) but i couldn't find it on the computer, no shortcut no listing?????
will have a look at that link you attached.
