The goal is to create functionality similar to an MTConnect adapter on this box. This RTAI-XML 'target' would be accessed by another server running an MTConnect agent and webserver. The RTAI-XML documentation suggest this is possible, and part of the rationale behind the creation of RTAI-XML. If I am correct, RTAI-XML would serve as a bridging technology between the MTConnect agent on one box and LinuxCNC mill or lathe hardware operations on another.
