Lathe homing basic setup for ini and hal

What should be in the hal and ini files for stepper motors on lathe?

your best soloution is to run the program stepconf and this will guide you through the first steps
then open the config produced and read the hal and ini files .
it's best after the initial few goes with stepconf to edit these by hand in a text editor .
you can always use stepconf to produce a dummy file and copy the parts to your working copy etc

if theirs a specifc problem you not sure of , just ask ..
it can be a bit daunting at first , but it's not difficult once you have tried a few times .
