Yes, you want to reduce the following error as much as you can.

G0 X2
G0 X0

What feed rate do use when doing this?
The only way to control the feed is to use a F5.0 or etc.

A good feed rate choice for testing is one that you might expect to use for most of your milling.

I kind of like to tune using pid-error rather than axis.N.f-error. For some reason (in the past at least) there is a difference in how these are calculated, and they will differ by an amount proportional to the velocity. This can lead to the problem that you might be trying to tune out a following error shown by axis.N.f-error, when the PID loop isn't actually detecting any significant error.

Hey

I tried to adjust the PID and Ferror setting without much luck or understanding. So since the mill was running well before the conversion I went ahead with physical testing / aligning the mill. Now after having run several test cuts including a circle-diamond-square I am satisfied for now with the performance and will look ahead to finishing the conversion.

Thanks for all the help.
Jim
