Folks - now that the Raspberry 3 is out, does that change anything with respect to installing Linuxcnc? Seems to me that the new unit finally has enough power to run LinuxCNC well.

Do you have any idea what the latency would be like?
Were you thinking of using the GPIO pins or something else? SPI might be an option. Etthernet isn't, with the Pi, as it is on the USB bus.
