Sure, just install if with the Synaptic Package Manager I think. I like LinuxMint with the Mate desktop.

You can run most any desktop you want. I am currently running Mate on a Linuxcnc hybrid.iso (Debian Wheezy). Installed using Debian Backports. (And Gnome on another)

Thanks, I saw that. The option is really interesting because in my opinion Kfce desktop is too simple and I don't like it very much. Is effective, just that.
Mate is a nice option too.
Best regards.

And if you don't like Debian you can use LinuxMint with Mate as I do.

Thanks a lot JT. Currently I'm fine with KDE.
I used it with Ubuntu (Kubuntu), Opensuse and now with Debian.
Currently I 've a little problem with my ATI Radeon HD 4670 RV730 card and its drivers. I can't get the right configuration.
I installed AMD Catalys 13.1 and it works fine but.... Linuxcnc doesn't work at all. So it was uninstalled. I still work.
Thanks for your support
