Hello There,
I'm new to LinuxCNC, I just installed the 2.7 version on a Dell (as title describes).
The installation process went smooth with no hic-ups at all. But when the computer starts, the boot sequences ends in a black screen. The machine is not frozen as I can move the mouse in the screen and I can toggle the Caps Lock.
Is there a setting I'm missing?
Should I boot into a command-line mode first?
Thanks!

That's rather odd. if you have a mouse pointer then you have graphics.
Have you tried a wider search around the Debian and generic Linux forums?
This does not seem likely to be a specific LinuxCNC problem.
