Hi everyone this is my first post on the forum. I'm switching from mach3 to linuxcnc because of stability. My question is will linuxcnc run on ZorinOS ok or should I be using a different OS I know nothing about Linux so any help would be greatly appreciated.

It might do. But it would probably be work.
It will be much easier, as a newbie to Linux, to install Debian Wheezy and LinuxCNC all in one go from the LiveCD.
