Need help with Z axis setup on new machine was created by stratcat
I would like to set up my machine so that Z Home is around 2 inches and cutting is done at around 0.05 inches
but would like Axis to read "0" at home and all cutting depths to be positive numbers.
In other words, the 0.05" mentioned above would actually be 1.95" in G-Code.
Reason: I'll be using router bits/cutters with different lengths and will use touch-off to derive the actual cutting depth.
I've tried using negative values in "RoboRouter.ini" and can't get Axis to "look" right.
We had a machine using EMC several years ago and I managed to get this to work but forgot what I did.
Thanks for your help.

Normally Z0 is at the top of travel for the spindle. You touch off the tool to the work and set the offset to Z0.
