I googled upgrading linuxcnc but the newest one shows 2.6 to 2.7 and I don't know if the same instructions apply.
I am comfortable with using terminal so a list of steps to type in to just update the cnc program is needed.

Thanks
George

If you have standard Linuxcnc instalation (from the live disk image) and your machine is connect to the internet, all you have to do is run update manager, (or you could type the command "sudo apt-get update" from the command line.

The manual is the best place to look for information about LinuxCNC... well and my web site is good too.

He wasn't asking about upgrading from an earlier version to 2.7, Just an update from 2.7.4 to 2.7.5 and the docs don't really mention anything about updates within the same version. I know it is so simple it is hardly worth mentioning in the docs, but for a person new to linux the update system may be a new thing.

Missed that... I'll work on the docs in the morning to fix that omission. Thanks for pointing it out. I should quit scanning the subjects and really read them lol.
