LinuxCNC Master now handles gantries much better and can home an axis with multiple joints or motors.

				Short on time yesterday...
linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/config/ini-...lt_letter_gt_section
and
linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/getting-sta..._configuration_files
anyhow in Master (pre2.8) you configure each joint (motor) and each axis. An axis can have more than one joint. I looked for a good example but came up a bit empty. When you take a valid 2.7 configuration and open it up a converter attempts to convert it and save a copy.

Are the menu items greyed out? Just checked a machine and the Axis sim and both windows open. Check with the Axis sim.

				Hi JT,
Even if i open axis.sim, both calibration, and hal configuration don't show, everything else does run ( like hal-scope )

I tried to set up Debian with Master this morning but failed to finish.
Edit your ini file and turn on maximum debug statements by commenting out the DEBUG=0 line and add like this
Open a terminal and clear dmesg
Close that terminal and open a new one and launch linuxcnc
Open Axis and try to open the calibration page and see if you get any errors. I'll try again in the morning to install debian and master.
