Cannot load Ubunutu and EMC2 was created by retired_engr
Cannot load Ubuntu/EMC2. Was succesful with Ubuntu 10.04 but removed it to run EMC2 with version 8.08 Burned disk with 2 different burners and 2 different burning software. Under Windows XP, drive showes iso file. Checked logon protocol, floppy, CD, HD??????????

If your hardware is too new for 8.04 to load then you need to get Ubuntu 8.04.4 install that then install EMC after. I know because it happened to me.

Hello,
is it right that on the CD is an ISO File? If so you have used the wrong program to burn the CD. The ISO File is an Image of the CD and has to be burned with a special program.
