Hi all,

I'm just getting started with my CNC mill. I have purchased a CNCfusion package for my mill, a Probotix controller and stepper motors and am trying to get LinuxCNC to make all of these components to talk to each other.

I have tried a couple of configuration names from the dropdown list in LinuxCNC, but none of the ones I've tried appear to work with my set up. Can someone please throw me a bone and suggest the name of a LinuxCNCconfiguration that will work with my 4218 HiTorque Mini Mill?

I would appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Thanks,

You might be better off starting with the Stepconf configuration wizard.

Which Probotix breakout do you have?

www.probotix.com/manuals/PBX-RF_manual.pdf table 5 has all that you need for setting up the port in Stepconf. It doesn't have timings, but just choose 5000nS everywhere and you won't be far off.
